His Holiness Acharya Mahashraman preached in the Prime Sermon about how to overwhelm five senses with an example of hand- we take our five fingers as five Indriyas (senses), when our palm is opened it shows five fingers, when we close our palm it turns in a fist. So we have to overwhelm our Indriyas. We should practice to restraint our Indriyas. How do restraint Indriyas? His Holiness explained this with an exercise- put thumbs in ears, forefingers on eyes, middle fingers on nose and rest two fingers on mouth. This is an exercise to restraint all Indriyas. This is an exercise of cutting off from the outside world as well as an exercise of restraint.
