It is well known that food gives nutrition.
If food alone gives nutrition then everybody would be healthy and happy and nobody would be ill or unhappy.
When Guru places his hand on the disciple's head, his grace gives more nourishment than a hundred hearty meals.
Some people attribute transformation of a disciple to the flow of energy from the Guru's fingers, eyes and speech.
That is why nourishment should not be viewed as limited to food.
