Ahimsa Yatra reached Seethayampeta today.
His Holiness Acharya Mahashraman preached in today's Prime Sermon about Mohaniya Karma through a conversation. His Holiness asked Muni Naman Kumar- "How many Karmas are there with the Sadhu (ascetic)?"
Muni Naman Kumar replied- "Eight"
His Holiness asked the second question- "And how many Karmas are there with a Shravak (lay follower)?"
Muni Naman Kumar- "Eight"
His Holiness- "Both have eight Karmas then what is the difference between the two?"
Muni Naman Kumar- "An ascetic's Karmas are a little light but a lay follower's Karmas are a little heavy"
His Holiness expressed with a smile- "Okay little heavy, especially Mohaniya Karma. For example, how much light is your Mohaniya Karma?"
Muni Naman Kumar- "Very light, Charitra Mohaniya Karma (a type of Mohaniya Karma)"
His Holiness then explained Charitra Mohaniya Karma- "Anantanubandhi, Apratyakhyan, Pratyakhyan Karmas of an ascetic have been abated. Only one Sanjvalan Karma is left. And what about the lay follower?"
Muni Naman Kumar- "Anantanubandhi and Apratyakhyan Karmas of the lay follower have been abated."
His Holiness explained- "The appearance of the two Karma- Pratyakhyan and Sanjvalan Karmas of the lay follower do exist. Anantanubandhi and Apratyakhyan Karmas have been abated. If a lay follower is Samyaktvi, (the one who has availed Samyaktva) then?"
Muni Naman Kumar-"Samyaktvi does not have Anantanubandhi. The rest all are there."
His Holiness agreed with the answer given by Muni Naman Kumar.
