प्रश्न: श्रवणबेलगोला में बाहुबली भगवन का महामस्तका अभिषेक 12 वर्षो में ही क्यों होता है?
उत्तर: आचार्य भद्रबाहु 12000 मुनियो के संघ के साथ यहाँ आये थे, उन्होंने 12 वर्ष का सल्लेखना व्रत लिया था इसलिए भी!, बाहुबली जी के इस मूर्ति को बनने में 12 वर्ष लगे, खुद बाहुबली जी ने 12 महीने तक कठोर तप किया!
प्रश्न: विश्व की सबसे प्राचीनतम लिपि कौन-सी है?
उत्तर: प्राचीन ग्रंथो में उल्लेख है कि तीर्थंकर ऋषभदेव के ब्राह्मी और सुंदरी दो पुत्रिया थी! बाल्यअवस्था में वे ऋषभदेव कि गोद में जाकर बैठ गई! ऋषभदेव ने उनके विद्याग्रहण का काल जानकर उन्हें लिपि और अंको का ज्ञान दिया! ब्राह्मी दायी-और तथा सुंदरी बायीं-और बैठी थी! ब्राह्मी को वर्णमाला का बोध कराने के कारण लिपि बायीं और से लिखी जाती है! सुंदरी को अंक का बोध कराने के कारण अंक दायी से बायीं और इकाई, दहाई....के रूप में लिखे जाते है! ऋषभदेव ने सर्वप्रथम ब्राह्मी को वर्णमाला का बोध कराया था, इसी कारण सभी भाषा वैज्ञानिक एकमत से स्वीकार करते है कि विश्व कि प्राचीनतम लिपि ब्राह्मी है!
प्रश्न: 24 तीर्थंकरो के जो चिन्ह है वो कहा से आए या किसने रखे और उनका महत्व क्या है?
उत्तर: इस बारे में ग्रंथो में दो बाते मिलती है!
1. तीर्थंकर बालक के जन्म से ही दाहिने पैर के अंगूठे पर ये चिन्ह होता है और जब सौधर्म इंद्र तीर्थंकर बालक को लेकर पाण्डुक शीला, सुमेरु पर्वत जन्म अभिषेक के लिए जाता है तो इंद्र उस चिन्ह को देख कर घोषणा करता है की ये इन तीर्थंकर का चिन्ह होगा जैसे महावीर स्वामी का शेर! इसी से ही तीर्थंकर की पहचान होती है!
2. जब सौधर्म इंद्र तीर्थंकर बालक को लेकर सुमेरु पर्वत जन्म अभिषेक के लिए जाता है तो इंद्र के रथ की झंडे की ध्वजा में उस समय जो चिन्ह दिखाई देता है इंद्र उसको ही उन तीर्थंकर का चिन्ह घोषित कर देता है!

Shravanabelagola/Sravanabelagola is one of the most important Jain tirth (a sacred place) of the Jains in South India. It is a place of great importance from the point of pilgrimage, ancient Prakrit Language and also archeological and religious heritage. Shravanabelagola, nestled by the Vindhyagiri and Chandragiri Hills, protected by the monolith Bhagwan Bahubali, and home to over 2,300 years of Jain heritage, is a veritable picture postcard of our history and heritage spanning the centuries. In the town of Shravanabelagola, stands a colossal rock-cut statue of Lord Gommateshwara Shri Bahubali.
This 57 feet tall statue is the most magnificent among all Jain works of art. It was built in circa 982. The Bahubali statue is described as one of the mightiest achievements of ancient Karnataka in the realm of sculptural art. The statue stands upright in the posture of meditation known as kayotsarga, reaching a height of nearly 57 feet atop the Vindyagiri Hills - accessible through a flight of 500 steps.

Actor Mrunal Jain and his wife Sweetie Jain are quite religious by nature. Both take out time for prayers daily and even love to go to variety of temples. Recently they went to Pabal a temple near Pune. Mrunal Jain is proud to be Jain. His mom has given him religious habits and he knows all rituals of temple from early childhood. He says, “ I follow Jainism and my religion is a way of my life. When I get into the special attire for pooja I feel very positive. I don’t eve neat onion and garlic and I don't know what they taste like. I a ma hard core vegetarian and am proud of it”

एक बात और सामने आती है कि जैन मुनि नग्न रहते है, स्नान नहीं करते और दन्त धावन नहीं करते तो लोग कहते है कि वे अस्वच्छ रहते है ।
हमारे आचार्य महाराज (#आचार्यश्रीविद्यासागर जी) इसका बड़ा बढ़िया जवाब देते है। वे कहते है कि "दिगम्बर मुनि तो चौबीसों घण्टे स्नान करता है। वह 'सनलाइट' धूप से नहाता है और 'मूनलाइट' (चाँदनी) मैं भी नहाता है। हवायें तो उसकी निरावरित देह का सदैव प्रक्षालन करती रहती है। एक बात और है कि "ब्रहमचारी सदाशुचिः" अर्थात् जो ब्रह्मचर्य की साधना करते है उनके शरीर और मन दोनों सदा पवित्र रहते हैं। इसलिए आजीवन ब्रह्मचर्य धारण करने वाले दिगम्बर मुनि को हिंसा में कारणभूत जल आदि से स्नान करने की आवश्यकता नहीं पड़ती। उनकी शुचिता/पवित्रता आपोआप बन जाती है। इसी तरह दिगम्बर जैन साधू भोजन से पहले दाँत साफ नहीं करते, यह निधि तपस्या या साधना का एक अंग है। दिगंबर साधु 24 घंटे में मात्र एक बार संतुलित आहार व जलादि ग्रहण करते हैं। आहार ग्रहण करने के उपरांत वे तुरंत मुख शुद्धि कर लेते हैं। मुख शुद्धि करने से अन्न आदि के कण मुख में नहीं रहते इसलिए दूसरे दिन आहार से पहले मुख की स्वच्छता बनी रहती है। दिगंबर साधु के लिए दांतो की शोभा बढ़ाने के लिए मांजना चमकाना आदि निषिद्ध है, स्वच्छता निषिद्ध नहीं है। अतः वे शास्त्रोक्त विधि से आहार के बाद दांतो कि स्वच्छता का ध्यान रखते हैं ।
