15.01.2018 ►Siddhayatan ►Documentary by US Jain Sadhvis goes VIRAL on Facebook

Published: 16.01.2018

Jai Siddhatma,

Sadhvi Siddhali Shree and Sadhvi Anubhuti, under the spiritual guidance of H.H. Acharya Shree Yogeesh, directed a powerful and inspiring documentary, STOPPING TRAFFIC, to address human trafficking and inspire action to end it.

One of the lost humanitarian works Tirthankar Mahavir started and inspired was eliminating slavery. As a revolutionary and fearless leader, he broke barriers by initiating women as sadhvis and raising their status high. Tirthankar Mahavir taught that both men and women are equal and no acts of violence should be committed towards any living being. Acharya Shree and his disciples are on a mission to continue Tirthankar Mahavir’s humanitarian work and spread the message of non-violence, which is showing great success in America.

The two US Jain Sadhvis’ award-winning film has recently gone viral on Facebook after being featured in a NowThis video segment. The viral video is on track to reach 1 million views in less than one week.

Over opening weekend, STOPPING TRAFFIC made the Top 40 Movies in the iTunes Documentary Category.

The Los Angeles Times reviewed: “Shree’s film offers insight and intimacy, with survivors being incredibly honest and vulnerable, which will help to drive awareness of the problem and how to fix it.”

STOPPING TRAFFIC is now available on iTunes, YouTube Movies, DirectTV, Dish Network, Time Warner Cable, Comcast, among many other major online platforms. It will be available on DVD in March.
