भारत की लौह नगरी जमशेदपुर (टाटानगर) शहर में पहली बार जैन श्वेताम्बर तेरापंथ धर्मसंघ के एकादशमाधिशास्ता, भगवान महावीर के प्रतिनिधि, शांतिदूत अहिंसा यात्रा के प्रणेता आचार्यश्री महाश्रमणजी के ज्योतिचरण पड़े तो यह लौह नगरी आध्यात्मिक दृष्टि से जगमगा उठी। मानों उसमें लौह शक्ति के साथ ही आध्यात्मिकता का संचार होे गया। आचार्यश्री आदित्यपुर से लगभग सात किलोमीटर का विहार कर जब जमशेदपुर मुख्य शहर की सीमा पर पधारे तो वहां उत्साहित जैन श्रद्धालुओं के अलावा बड़ी संख्या में अन्य संप्रदाय के लोग भी आस्था के साथ ऐसे महासंत के दर्शन को उपस्थित थे। लोगों ने आचार्यश्री के दर्शन कर उन्हें श्रद्धा के साथ नमन किया तो आचार्यश्री ने सबके ऊपर आशीष वृष्टि करते हुए बढ़ चले।
उपस्थित जन समूह एक भव्य जुलूस के रूप में बदला और अपने आराध्य को अपने नगर के विभिन्न मार्गों से होते हुए जुगसलाई स्थित श्री राजस्थान शिव मंदिर प्रांगण में पधारे। यहां आचार्यश्री लक्ष्मीनारायण भवन में विराजमान हुए। यह अवसर तेरापंथी श्रद्धालुओं के लिए तो ऐतिहासिक बन गया था। क्योंकि उनके नगर में पहली बार किसी तेरापंथ के आचार्य का आगमन हुआ था।
मंदिर परिसर में उमड़े जैन-जैनेतर श्रद्धालुओं को सर्वप्रथम तेरापंथ धर्मसंघ की असाधारण साध्वीप्रमुखाजी ने पावन संबोध प्रदान करते हुए लोगों को सौभाग्य मिले ऐसे सुअवसर का लाभ उठाकर अपने जीवन को अच्छा बनाने की पावन प्रेरणा प्रदान की।
इसके उपरान्त उपस्थित लोगों की आत्मिक प्यास को बुझाते हुए महातपस्वी आचार्यश्री महाश्रमणजी ने अपनी अमृतमयी वाणी का रसपान कराते हुए कहा कि शरीर जो हाड़-मांस का पुतला है। यह एक मात्र पुतला ही नहीं है। इसे एक नौका भी कहा गया है। यह शरीर नौका के समान है तो शरीर के भीतर स्थित जीव नाविक होता है और यह संसार समुद्र के समान होता है। जिसे महर्षि लोग तर जाते हैं।
आदमी को अपने जीवन का यह लक्ष्य बनाना चाहिए कि इस शरीर रूपी नौका के द्वारा इस संसार समुद्र को पार कर मोक्ष प्राप्त कर सके। इसके लिए आदमी को जब तक बुढ़ापा पीड़ित न करने लगे, इन्द्रियां क्षीण न हो जाएं तब तक सेवा और धर्म कर लेने का प्रयास करना चाहिए। इसके माध्यम से आदमी सेवा, धर्म और साधना के द्वारा इस संसार रूपी समुद्र को पार कर मोक्ष की प्राप्ति कर सकता है। बुढ़ापे मंे आदमी को आंखों से कम दिखाई देने लगता है, कानों से कम सुनाई देने लगता है, बाल सफेद हो जाते हैं, दांत गिर जाते हैं और जोड़ों में दर्द होने लगता है। ऐसे में आदमी सेवा, साधना या धर्म का कार्य करने में कठिनाई हो सकती है। शरीर को व्याधि का मंदिर कहा गया है। आदमी के शरीर में कब कौन सा रोग हो जाए, कहा नहीं जा सकता है। आदमी को हिंसा, चोरी, झूठ, अनैतिकता से बचने का प्रयास करना चाहिए और अपनी नौका को बुराई रूपी छिद्रों से बचाते हुए उससे संसार समुद्र को तर जाने का प्रयास करना चाहिए। मानव जीवन बहुत महत्त्वपूर्ण है। आदमी को त्याग, संयम और साधना के द्वारा धर्म करने का प्रयास करना चाहिए। किसी की पवित्र सेवा का प्रयास करना चाहिए।
दुनिया में कितने लोगों को संतों की सेवा का अवसर प्राप्त होता है। संतों की वाणी का श्रवण हो और श्रवण के साथ-साथ ग्रहण भी हो जाए तो आदमी संसार रूपी समुद्र से तर सकता है।
आचार्यश्री ने उपस्थित सभी श्रद्धालुओं को अहिंसा यात्रा की अवगति प्रदान कर जब उनसे इसके संकल्पों को स्वीकार करने का आह्वान किया तो उपस्थित सैंकड़ों लोगों ने सहर्ष संकल्पत्रयी स्वीकार कर अपने जीवन में बदलाव का संकल्प लिया। इसके उपरान्त अपने नगर में अपने ऐसे महासंत के स्वागत को सभी धर्म-संप्रदाय के लोग आतुर थे। सर्वप्रथम नगर के ओसवाल जैन संघ के श्री राजकुमार कोचर, श्री भंवरलाल बैद ने अपनी हर्षाभिव्यक्ति दी। तेरापंथ महिला समाज, स्थानकवासी महिला समाज, सोहनलाल बोहरा, मंदिरमार्गी महिला समाज, बैद परिवार के सदस्य, श्रीमती शोभना संचेती, श्रीमती विजयलक्ष्मी, सुश्री नविता, नम्रता ने गीत के माध्यम से अपनी हर्षित भावाभिव्यक्ति दी।
