A Prayer on Thanksgiving Day - Nov 23, 2017

JCSC will observe Thanksgiving Day with Bhaktamara Stotra Paath.
Bhaktamara Stotra is the most famous of the Jain prayers.
It was composed by Acharya Manatunga. Bhaktamara stotra is gem of devotional Jain literature.

We pray that all the people of the world will avoid inflicting harm on animals
and fellow human beings and practice nonviolence and compassion.
We express our sorrow at the suffering of all the turkeys and other animals that have died.
May peace and compassion grow in ourselves and extend to all around us.

Date & Time: Thursday, Nov 23rd, 2017, 09:00 AM

Venue: Aradhna Hall

Maun Ekadashi - Nov 30, 2017

It is a very important day because 150 Kalyanakas of the Tirthankars of past, present and future have happened on this day.

The festival of Maun Ekadashi (also known as Maun Agyaras) is an auspicious Jain festival which falls on the 11th day of the month Magshar (Magshar Sud 11).

According to the English calendar, this year it falls on the 30th November, 2017.

A person who worships this day of Ekadashi with all the rites and rituals every year for a period of 11 years and 11 months is said to achieve salvation.

JCSC will observe  Maun Ekadashi Dev Vandan from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM on Thursday, Nov 30, 2017.
