Kartik Sud 14,Nov 3rd, is Chaumasi Chaudas. Things to do on Nov 3rd,2017: Devotees does Tap (penance), Meditation, Dev-Vandan, Chaumasi Pratikraman etc. In Dev-Vandan do all 24 Tirthankars Chaitya-Vandan. Because of rainy season, from Ashadhi Chaudas to Kartik Chaudas (four Months) our Sadhus & Sadhavis stay at one Place. On Kartik Poonam day they start traveling to another place as the rainy season is over. | | Kartiki Punam & Pat Darshan (actual Nov 4th, 2017, Observed - Nov 5th, 2017) | | JCSC Executive Committee and Board of Directors wishes everybody a Very Happy Deepawali and a Prosperous, Peaceful and Healthy,New Year,Vikram Samvat 2074 (Vir Samvat 2544). Kartiki Punam night is considered as the brightest full moon night in the whole year as the rainy season is supposed to end and night sky is all clear. This is the day to resolve to free oneself of basic instincts. In the rainy/monsoon season, all Acharya Bhagvants, Sadhus, Sadhvis, Munis etc stay at one place and do not travel for four months. This starts from Aso Sud Chaturdashi and ends on Kartik Sud Punam. On Kartik Punam their Vihar starts again, to spread the knowledge of Principles of Jainism such as Truth, Ahimsa, and Compassion etc. Thus Kartiki Punam has a big significance for all Jains. We will have Kartiki Punam Celebration on two days as below: Day/Date Time Program Saturday, 4th Nov, 2017(Kartiki Punam actual day) 9:30 AM Pat Darshan in Cultural hall Sunday, 5th Nov, 2017(Kartiki Punam observed) 9:30 AM Pat Darshan with Khamasna and Chaitya vandan 11:00 AM General Body Meeting - in Cultural hall, followed by Swamivatsalya Lunch | | General Body Meeting At JCSC - Nov 5, 2017 | | The next General Body Meeting of JCSC will be held on Sunday, Nov 5th, 2017 from 11:00 AM in the Cultural Hall.
