On the auspicious day of Diwali, We invite all JSGD members to come and join us on the occasion of Mahavir Swami Nirvan Kalyanak and Gautam Swami Keval Ganan Kalyanak celebrations.
The event will include recital of Stavans and Jaap from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm followed by Aarti and Mangal Divo,

KARTIK POONAM CELEBRATIONS - Saturday, 11/04/2017

The Chaturmas that begins on Ashadh Chaturdashi comes to an end on the full moon day in Kartik. After this, the Jain Sadhus and Sadhvis begin their Vihaar, i.e., travel on foot. This day also is celebrated as the birthday of Kalikal Sarvagna, Acharya Bhagavant Sri Vijay Hemachandrasooriji. This is the day when Rishabh dev bhagwan’s two sons - Dravid and Varikhill achieved liberation with 100 million other muni raaj on Shatrunjay - Palitana. A pilgrimage to Shatrunjay-Palitana on this day is considered to be of great importance. Thousands of Jains go on pilgrimages on this day.

Any tapascharya done on this day, it’s fal multiplied by 100 million times. So, let’s join together to celebrate Kartik Poonam in a novel way this year by performing Samuhik Ekasana. The sign sheet is posted on the bulletin board. All Steel vessels - thali - vadko will be provided from temple.
