His Holiness Acharya Mahashraman preached in today's Prime Sermon that, the three sthavir told in Shastras, Jati Sthavir, Shrut Sthavir and Paryay Sthavir, these are told in context to Sadhus. In context to Laymen, some comparison can be made. People aged above sixty are Jati Sthavir. Those who are very wise are Shrut Sthavir. And if someone has spend a long time in Shravaktva then he is Sthavir in Shravaktva in a particular area. So a laymen can also strive to attain Shravaktva and greatness. He must also try to attain a high degree in mainly character and wisdom in his life. This is desirable.
