The period of dormancy of Karma, during which it does not affect the Jīva (soul), by remaining in non-fruition state.

yāvat na kiñcidapi svodayato jīvasya bādhāmutpādayati... abādhākālaparijñānopāyaścāyaṃ- yasya yāvatyaḥ sāgaropamakoṭīkoṭyastasya tāvantī varṣaśatānyabādhā.
