Terapanth professional forum successfully organized a programme on career counselling with the theme of "Career Guidance and the Role of Parents in choosing right career path for their children" on 19th June 2016 in the pious presence of Sadhvi Sangeet Shree Ji, erudite disciple of Param Pujay Acharya Shri Mahashraman ji, at New Circuit House, Civil Lines, Raipur.
The meeting was started with the chanting of the Navkar Mantra followed by beautifully performed manglacharan by Terapanth Mahila Mandal. Shri Mahavir Jain welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest of Program was Shri Rajesh Munat, Minister: PWD, Housing & Environment, Transport Government of Chhattisgarh. CA Ritu S Jain (Choraria), President East Zone, briefed about TPF, its goal, activities. She also defined the purpose and outline of the program.
Sadhvi Shri Sangeetshri Ji blessed the gathering with her inspirational speech. She emphasized on setting the defined goals in life and the pursuing it with dedication for achieving the desired success in one's career. She told that being a good human being is equally important. The role of parents is very crucial in giving direction to their children's life. It's the duty of the parent to take necessary steps in cultivating the cultural and ethical values in their wards. One should always stay away from drugs, drinks and other intoxicating things.
The second session was dedicated in exploring the importance of counselling, selection of right career, role of parents in guiding their children. The Guest of Honour for this session was Shri Kamal Chandra Bhanjdeo, from the Chairman, CG State Youth Commission. The session was chaired by CA Ritu S Jain and the penal of experts was comprised of most eminent faculties from various disciplines viz. Renowned Counsellors Dr. Jawahar Surisetti, the Advisor national association for education of young children, US state and Dr. Ajit Warwandker, Director Agla Kadam Academy, from Law & Secretarial Sector, Mr. Y.C. Rao, Ex-chairman, ICSI Raipur Branch, From Medicine Dr Ramdev Mandhani, From Industry, Shri Rahul Jain, Management and Entrepreneur, from Non-conventional Energy Field CA Ritu S Jain and From Public Services Shri Ashish Golechha, CEO, Cooperative Extension Office, Cooperative Department Government of Chhattisgarh.
Dr Jawahar Surishetti spoke on the importance of early decision making in the career path of the child. He emphasized on working, studying, playing etc along with the biological clock of our body. Late night studies should not be preferred. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy; so keeping balance between the studies and physical activities are the need of the hour.
CS Y C Rao, a qualified Company Secretary from the corporate field showcased the opportunities present for Company Secretaries. He highlighted the demand and supply ratio in this sector and told the students that at present scenerio, 80000 Company Secretaries are required but we can fulfill the demand for 20000 only. So students can have bright career opportunities in this field.
Shri Kamal Chandra Bhanj Deo, President of National Youth Association told about the "Saksham" programme. SAKSHAM is a scholarship for differently-abled children by AICTE, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India that aims to award 1000 scholarships per annum to differently-abled students. He said, "Nothing is impossible, just focus on your goal."
Well known Doctor, Dr. Ramdev Mandhani mesmerised the whole audience through his speech. He discussed about how positive energy in any task gives you the right output. He said that to become a Doctor, one must be active 24/7.
Shri Rahul Jain, a renowned Industrialist, Raipur addressed the students. He talked about the opportunities in the management field and on how to become a successful entrepreneur. He advised the students to think out of the box and to do something different and in perfect manner.
Dr. Ajit Warwandker, a famous career counsellor from Chhattisgarh discussed about the various career opportunities available for students and gave them the direction to choose right career. He told them the importance of passion in life and how it can lead to success.
Shri Ankush Golchha, CEO, Cooperative Extension Office, Cooperative Department Government of Chhattisgarh expressed his views and addressed the students on the opportunities available and needed skills for public and civil services.
The third session was one-to-one interaction with the students, counsellors and the various colleges representatives present in the programme. They guided the students about the various courses, the best faculties and support extended by their colleges. Dr. Rajendra Hegadi, Principal, Kites University addressed the audience and gave a border picture of the Engineering Field. Dr. Shrivastav, HOD Mechanical Department, DISHA Group of Institutes also inspired the parents and students for keeping balance in studies & amusements. The participants also got opportunities to reached out the best colleges in Chhattisgarh in the programme. KITES, ARENA Animations and DISHA College also participated in the programme.
The programme ended with vote of thanks to all the participants by Shri. Basant Goel, Secretary TPF Raipur, Branch. The programme was a great success and it was attended by 200 students with their parents.
