Jain Swetamber Terapanthi Sabha with coordination of National Council of Education Bengal under Acharya Tulsi Janm Shatabdi Vyakhaymala organized a seminar on Saturday, 20th feb 2016 at Javadpur Collage, Kolkata. The subject of seminar was "Ahimsa and World peace". President of Seminar Sri Surendra Dugar, Management Trustee-Jain Tulsi Foundation, Inauguration Speaker-Dr. Roma Chakravarti, Professor-Kolkata Collage and Chief Speaker, Samani Charitra Pragya-Vice Chancellor of Jain Vishva Bharati. Seminar began with mangalacharan (invocation) by Mahila Mandal. Samani Charitra Pragya said-the root of violence is possession and for that we will have to extent of consumption in our personal life. Lord Mahavir presented Ahimsa as not only philosophy but also life style. We need a change in our life style for Ahimsa (non violence), peaceful life and world peace.
