At the outset let me first introduce Mega Blood Donation Drive (MBDD) “Revolution@365 - Each day is a Blood Donation Day”. This is a nationwide campaign to take ‘Voluntary Blood Donation’ to a new pinnacle of awareness. Every day from 1st January 2016 to 30th June 2016 blood donation camps will be conducted in India under the banner of ”MEGA BLOOD DONATION DRIVE” organised by Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad.
About Us- AKHIL BHARTIYA TERAPANTH YUVAK PARISHAD, a youth wing of Jain-Shwetambar-Terapanth Society. Our members execute various social & humanitarian duties under the guidance of Acharya Mahashraman.
ABTYP has a nationwide network of 325+ active branches and more than 40,000 members and many supporters across the world. The dedicated members of ABTYP pledges themselves for the service to mankind & humanity, shares passion of community service, conservation of environment etc. ABTYP has a continuous calendar of activities like Blood donation camps, Awareness programs for Eye Donation, De-Addiction, Body & Organ Donation, Free Health check-up camps, Free Eye check-up camps and operations, establishment of Pathology labs, subsidised Diagnostic Centres, Hostels for students, Conducting relief programs during Natural Calamities, organizing Career Counselling, Personality Development, imparting moral values-science of living (JEEVAN VIGYAN), meditation (PREKSHA DHYAN), intellectual workshops for society as a whole, helping the needy poor by free distribution of Food, Clothes, Medicines and Free Mid-day Meals to poor school children etc.
Our Successful Past Experience - We are proud to announce ourselves as Guinness World Record holder for highest Blood Donation at Multiple Location in single day. The first MEGA BLOOD DONATION DRIVE was held on 17th September 2012. A record 96,600 Units of blood were collected in one day. This drive was honoured by Mr. Sachin Tendulkar as Brand Ambassador and then on 06th September 2014 a record 100212 units of blood was collected on a single day that time Mr. Vivek Oberoie was our ambassador. That endeavour was generously supported and wholeheartedly promoted by legendary personalities from all walks of life that included Shri Pranab Mukherji (The President of India), Shri Narendra Modi (Prime Minister of India), many Chief Ministers, Union Cabinet Ministers, State Ministers, MPs, MLAs, Bureaucrats, Bollywood & Sports personalities including Shah Rukh Khan, Kamal Hasan, Rajnikant, Chireenjivi, Bipasha Basu, Saina Nehwal etc. We are proud to announce ourselves as world highest Blood donor organisation.
This year we are starting a new initiative, further emphasizing on the importance of Blood donation and creating awareness about Blood Donation.
“NOW EACH DAY WILL BE A BLOOD DONATION DAY”
Every day from 1st January 2016 to 30th June 2016 minimum one camp will be conducted in India under the banner of ”MEGA BLOOD DONATION DRIVE” This time our target is to organise at least 200 camps during the period in first phase and another 200 camps during second phase from 1 July to 31 Dec 2016 and collect more than 50000 units of blood in both phases and to create massive awareness about voluntarily Blood donation said Chief Convener Hitesh Bhandia who was also convener for Guinness world record campaign during 2014. This will be a motivational force for the countless people who have never donated blood. It is a service to mankind…. It will be a history……..The objective of MBDD Revolution@365 days - Each day is a Blood Donation day is to generate awareness among the people about voluntarily donation of blood and get public participation. Normally what happens is at the time of suffering when patient comes from some rural araes to urban area,Hospital ask them for replacement of blood so at that times he get in touch with brokers and other people selling blood because of his limited contact in an unknown cities. Through our regular Blood Donation camps we would like to fill this gap and we want that all hospitals should have ample blood with them so they will not harass any patient who is already feeling mental pressure because of illness. We would like that voluntarily Blood donation should be in roots of people and there should be enough blood available to cater the needs of patient and hospitals should give blood without replacement said Mr Bhandia who heals from Jaipur and Convenor of this nationwide campaign.
We are also been partnered by NACO (National Aids Control Organisation), NBTC(National blood Transfusion council), Ministry of Health, Govt of India and also other states are supporting us with organising these camps said BC BHALAWAT president of this organisation
Secretary Of ABTYP Vimal Kataria said that This will be world Longest Blood donation drive ever in history of country and this is one of its kind. We are also in contact with people from various records books so that this drive may have long-lasting impact on mind set of people
The MBDD is about awakening people by making them feel that as a donor, you are saving lives. The selflessness that will cater and benefit everyone associated directly or indirectly with this noble cause will be another achievement.
A drive of this scale cannot be achieved without the contributions from all section of society. This selfless social activity is now being taken by many corporates as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We would request you to be a part of this reformist social awareness program, which is set to induce a plethora of such activities for general mass benefits, a human need of present times and is a true service to humanity.
Vikas Nahar From Surat says that apart from urban areas we are planning to organise this campaign even in rural areas especially in villages which have never witnessed any Blood donation camps ever in past so that people of villages also come forward for this Mega Blood Donation Drive.
