This is the day to resolve to free oneself of basic instincts. In the rainy/monsoon season, all Acharya Bhagvants, Sadhus, Sadhvis, Munis etc stay at one place and do not travel for four months. This starts from Aso Sud Chaturdashi and ends on Kartik Sud Punam. After Kartik Punam, their vihar starts again to spread the knowledge of Principles of Jainism such as Truth, Ahinsa, Compassion etc. Thus Kartiki Punam has a big significance for all Jains. We are going to have Kartiki Punam Celebration on two days as below. It is safe, and the risk of injury or strain is lower than it is with other types of exercise. The cost involved in walking is low, because you just need a pair of comfortable shoes, or you may even walk barefoot. Walking for 10 minutes a day yields numerous benefits, and you can begin to experience these soon after you begin your walking routine. Consult your health practitioner before beginning any exercise program to assure that you do not have health conditions or limitations that affect your ability to exercise safely.
