                                   "SIX ESSENTIALS"  (છ આવશ્યક) Shibir

Parmatma Mahavir Bhagwan with utmost compassion for all living beings, has shown the Path of Purification of the SOUL. Everyone can attain Infinite Happiness and Infinite Bliss by ending all kinds of sufferings. He laid down two sets of Paths - one for the Mendicant (Sadhu/Sadhvi) and the other for the Householder (Gruhastha).

We as Householders who want to follow that Path should, first of all, have proper & correct knowledge of that Path. Therefore, not only should we find out what the Path is, but also understand how to follow that Path. That is the way to achieve TRUE HAPPINESS & BLISS in our daily life as well as attain the ultimate GOAL.

We have arranged a 2 Day Shibir in August, 2015 (Sat/Sun-8/9) to explore, investigate, apply and ultimately imbibe in our day to day life those six essentials (Commands of Bhagwan Mahavir for us).

Please join us for an experience of Enlightenment. You will not be disappointed!!!

Wellness Challenge: Reduce Calorie Intake by 100 Calories Each Day

For the upcoming weekly challenge we are challenging the participants to "reduce calorie intake by 100 calories each day.” Calorie restriction or caloric restriction, usually abbreviated to CR, is a strategy proven to extend healthy, average, and maximum life span in many short lived species, including mice and rats, and at least healthy and average life span in primates. In research papers it is more usually called dietary restriction, abbreviated to DR, and rodent studies conducted over the past 20 years have reliably demonstrated up to a 40% increase in maximum life span through life-long DR. For more information and to participate in the challenge, click here.

Logassa Challenge

Summer is half over and before we know it, Paryushan Parv will be approaching. Are you ready to challenge yourself and others with learning and reciting the Logassa Sutra? Let’s use the month of August to brush up on Shree Logassa Sutra. How can you accomplish this BIG challenge?

Try two lines a day and in seven days you should be a pro.  Please refer to the karaoke lyrics to learn the pronunciation and online materials for the meaning.

Be ready for Paryushana Parv by knowing the Shri Logassa Sutra. You can still register and recite the Sutra as part of the challenge. Join the many who have already completed the challenge and have their name on the Logassa Board.
