Veerayatan Vidyapeeth Kutch has been conferred the "Award for Revolution in Education " by the Chief Minister of Gujrat, Mrs Anandi Ben Patel at the vibrant Kutch Summit 2015, for its unparalleled endeavours in the field of education since the devastating earthquake of 2001. This is further endorsement that spirituality led education can revolutionise and be transformational for the children fortunate enough to be beneficiaries. Sadhvi Shilapiji’s unparalleled commitment and dedication in Kutch has resulted in a recognition in this very special way‎.

This award was then followed by the $50,000 grant from DEF (Diamond Empowerment Fund) to Veerayatan, the first educational institution in India to receive funding from D.E.F. Veerayatan, a leading NGO- founded and led by Acharya Chandanaji is chosen because of how its innovative approach to education improves the quality of life for its students. Benjamin Chavis Jr., the senior strategic advisor for D.E.F., said, "Veerayatan epitomizes the convergence of excellence in education with holistic sustainable development. This institution is making a positive transformative difference in India.” The grant was supplemented by an additional $50,000 for another DEF board member, Shri Dilip Mehta, who was moved by the intensity and passion of the students, and said " I just felt in my heart and in my mind, that this was the absolute right decision to make". Two students from Veerayatan will make the journey to D.E.F.’s Diamonds in the Sky Las Vegas event on May 28 to celebrate the importance of education and to salute the global achievement of Prime Minister Modi, the government of India and the people of India, who are being honoured by D.E.F. at the event.

Finally, students from Veerayatan Pawapuri Schools in Bihar achieved amazing results in three different national competitions in 2015:

  • In NASA Astronomy Olympiad, in which over 150,000 students from all over India took part, 28 students got medals (13 Gold, 9 Silver and 6 Bronze) and moved onto the 2nd International Olympiad.
  • In the National Science Olympiad, 91 students took part and 25 of them got medals (8 Gold, 5 Silver and 12 Bronze) and in the National Maths Olympiad, 119 took part, 51 got medals (13 Excellent, 11 Gold, 7 Silver and 20 Bronze!) And they all moved on the 2nd Level International Olympiad.

The dedication and hard work of Sadhvi Sampragyaji has meant that the schools in Veerayatan Bihar have made immense strides in a short time towards realising the academic excellence of the children of Bihar.
