Birth Centenary Celebration of Acharya Tulsi Concludes

A year long birth centenary celebration of Acharya Tulsi concluded with a week long event from 19th to 25th October 2014 having a huge gathering of over 10000 followers of Anuvrat Movement and dignitaries at Aadhyatmik Sadhana Kendra, Mehrauli.

The fourth and final phase celebration sent a strong message of achievable steps towards building character, purifying life and strengthening will power across the country. The galaxy of dignitaries made a remarkable spiritual discourse in the field of purifying life and development of will power.

The dignitaries include Swami Chidanand Saraswati of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Assam Chief Minister Sri Tarun Gogai, MP & General Secretary of INC shri Digvijay Singh, Congress leader Shri Manish Tiwari, Rajyasabha MP & BJP Parliamentry Board coordinator Shri Tarun Vijay, TMC MP Vivek Gupta, Rishikesh, Kalki Pithadishwer Acharya Sri Pramod Krishnan.

The event was organised by Acharya Tulsi Birth Centenary Committee spearheaded by Shri Kamal Dugar.

Mr Tarun Gogai, expressed his concern about the present happenings in some parts of the country and in Assam in particular.

He said: “The need of hour is to follow path of Acharya Tulsi teachings who guided millions to the path of peace and harmony.”

Mr Digvijay singh, MP and General Secretary, INC, asserted Acharya Tulsi is another incarnation of Lord Buddha who englightened whole world with his wisdom and message of Anuvrat.

Mr Manish Tiwari spoke about rich wisdom of Acharya Tulsi, a spiritual head who could influence the whole world spreading the message of ANUVRAT.

Acahrya Pramod Krishnan addressed the gathering and compared Acharya Tulsi as Himalaya of peace and harmony.

Tarun Vijay remarked Acharya Tulsi is a real guru who guided RSS, the cultural organization and also advocated about the safety of women in particular.

Mr Kamal Dugar, Chief Convener, Acharya Tulsi Birth Centenary Committee, said: “This ceremony is a tribute to Late Jain Acharya Shri Tulsi on his 100th birth anniversary. I have only given a helping hand to be able to promote his vision of a peaceful and morally strong society based on foundation of morality without any discrimination of caste, creed or religion.”

A week long celebration of birth centenary of Acharya Tulsi started on 19 October 2014 with the motto “World peace and Anuvrat movement”. During the centenary week, a souvenir coin with a booklet about Acharya Tulsi’s life scope was launched and released.

An exhibition of historic photographs depicting the life of Acharya Tulsi was organised. An animation film was also telecast made on Acharya Tulsi.

The various topics discussed with dignitaries from world around were Environment and Anuvrat Movement, Rajneeti and Anuvrat Movement, Humanity and Anuvrat Movement, Moral and Anuvrat Movement.

Acharya Mahashraman said: “The whole purpose of celebrating centenary of Acharya Tulsi shall be successful when people start following vows of Anuvrat to live & let live in peace, harmony, love, follow the path of righteousness, protect the environment to build a universe with happiness, peace, harmony, austerity, simplicity, prosperity and good health for all.”

Kamal Dugar declared, “we are starting Ahimsa Yatra from November 9, 2014 from the Red Fort of Delhi, in the similar line of Dandi March led by Mahatma Gandhi to promote peace and spread message of Ahimsa.

Acharya Mahashraman with his monks and nuns shall travel 10,000 kms till Nepal on foot.

The centenary celebration was a grand success and appreciated by the people of the country.
