A Mega Health Check-up Camp was organized on 18th September, 2011 by Terapanth Professional Forum jointly with Jain Doctor’s Federation at Terapanth Bhawan, Guwahati in pious presence of Sadhvi Nirvanshree ji, a learned disciple of Acharya Shree Mahashraman ji. All the specialist Jain Doctors of the city rendered their honorary services for the camp. The Camp which was sponsored by Sri Shantilal Bothra was organized as per the directions from All India Terapanth Professional Forum during Amrit Mahotsav in the series of celebrations rendering social service.
Addressing the large gathering of Doctors, Professionals, patients and lay followers in the concluding and felicitation session of the Camp who had witnessed the exciting moments of earthquake in the evening, Sadhvi Nirvanshree ji said –"physical health is a treasure of humane life. With the help of this treasure all the activities of life are conducted. But the base of physical heath is our mental and emotional health. Until and unless these are understood one has to suffer in one or the other form of physical sickness. In order to make people understand the basics of correct lifestyle saints and doctors can contribute a lot. The enthusiasm and alertness shown by the physicians in this camp of service to the humanity is commendable. The doctors should make it a mission to create awareness towards moral values and good habits amongst the patients and general public coming in their contact.
Dr. Suresh Jain, President of Jain Doctors Federation said - “We are happy to organize this camp in pious presence of Sadhvi Nirvanshree ji. The alertness and dedication of TPF members encouraged us to organize this camp in short span of time; it is a great achievement for us. We shall be happy to learn techniques of mental and emotional health from sadhwi sree ji.”
Dr. Subhash Jain, eminent gynecologist in his humble suggestion said –“Jain community is an intellectual and capable community. I want to see that a Multi Dimensional Medical Center as a model in North East India must evolve In Guwahati with the help of Jain Community, so that people from this part of India need not go to other parts of country for special medical treatment, whenever any such need arises. Dr Vijay Singh Nahata also expressed his gratuitous views on the occasion. All the Doctors were honored by Assamese Gamchha and literature. The convener of this program on behalf of TPF Sri Nirmal Shyamsukha and Dr Dilip Sethia worked very hard to make the event successful.
The program started with blessings from Sadhvishree ji and recitation of Namokar mantra. CA Ajay Bhansali, TPF Guwahati President welcomed all the doctors, professionals, patients and the public. About 260 persons were benefited from the camp. Sadhvi Dr Yogakshemprabha ji guided both the organizations with her valuable and inspiring suggestions. CA Manoj Nahata, secretary TPF compered the inaugural session. The program was successful with active co operation from Terapanthi Sabha Guwahati, Terapanth Mahila Mandal and Terapanth Yuvak Parishad.
