Arhat Vandana - Process
  1. Sit in the diamond posture or vajrāsana (see opposite page).
  2. Keep your neck and back steady, relaxed and free from tension.
  3. Join your hands together and cover your mouth with a muhapatti, handkerchief or your hand.
  4. Gently close your eyes.
  5. Sing Arhat Vandanā with correct pronunciation and full concentration, contemplating on the meaning of each and every verse.
  6. After completing Arhat Vandanā spend a few minutes in meditation contemplating on the attributes of the Arhat.

Notes:

  1. There are no restrictions regarding clothes. Please wear whatever is comfortable.
  2. There are no restrictions on where Arhat Vandanā can be performed, although ideally it should be in a clean and quiet place.
  3. This book is a prayer book and hence should be treated with respect, and kept in an appropriate place.
