is a mythical being of Jain, Hindu ad Buddhist mythology. A yakshi is the female counterpart of the male yaksha and are often depicted as beautiful and voluptuous, with wide hips, narrow waists, broad shoulders, and exaggerated, spherical breasts. Although Yakshis are usually benevolent, there are also yakshis with malevolent characteristics in Indian folklore.
