Introduction to Sanskrit and Jain Prayers
JVB London is pleased to offer an Introduction to Sanskrit & Jain Prayers course commencing 7 November 2020.
Some of the feedback from participants who signed up for this course in September 2020 is "dream come true", "for the first time appreciated the essence and depth of the Jain prayers by getting a basic understanding of Sanskrit"...
The course will be conducted by Dr. Shweta Jain, Dr. Jaishree Singhvi & Dr. Hemlata Jain, all of whom have Masters & PhD qualifications in Sanskrit. There will be 12 online ZOOM sessions every Saturday. The timings will suit various time zones:
U.K. 3.00 pm - 4.00 pm
Antwerp 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm
India 8.30 pm - 9.30 pm
New York, USA 10.00 am - 11.00 am
Kenya 6.00 pm - 7.00 pm
Dubai 7.00 pm - 8.00 pm
The course is open to all adults (18 years & above) and from any where in the world.
The fee for the course is £35 per person for the entire 12 week course. If you wish to do so, we will be grateful for payment of £50 as additional donation to JVB London.
No previous experience of Sanskrit is required, although a basic understanding of either Gujarati, Hindi or Marathi script will be beneficial. This is a golden opportunity for all to learn Sanskrit which is considered to be the language of the Gods and to get a better understanding of the meanings and essence of our Jain prayers.
