Mahavira's Scripture Of Health: [11.04] Prekshadhyana And Health - Infallible Way To Get Sleep

Published: 13.07.2007

The best way to get good sleep is perceiving, that is perceiving one's body. A large number of people were asked to practise perception of the body. They began by perception of the body, lying down in the posture of kayotsarga. Starting from the big toes, they began concentrating on all parts of the body, they perceived their soles, palms, heels, and on they proceeded. Perception of the body from the big toes to the head is the infallible way to get sleep. One does not have to do anything else, except going on with the perception of different parts of the body. One would reach the point of perception of the soul if, by chance, one gets sleep in the process. Even the process of kayotsarga would not be completed in that case.
